Where to watch Muay Thai in Koh Samui?

On this website you can discover all the best stadiums to watch Muay Thai fights in Koh Samui, where you will enjoy a true professional match and understand more about this part of Thai culture during your trip to Thailand.

To experience the fight night of Muay Thai in Koh Samui, you can choose from 2 boxing stadiums:

Phetchbuncha Boxing Stadium - the largest and the only air-conditioned Muay Thai stadium in Koh Samui.

Samui International Muay Thai Stadium - the venue hosting more international fights at its events and offering a wide choice of seating options, including very comfortable VIP sofas.

Even if the fights here are not as high-level as in Bangkok and stadiums are mainly filled by tourists, Koh Samui is one of the most popular touristy destinations and is good for watching Muay Thai fights during your holidays in Southern Thailand.

As the atmosphere and facilities at the island’s Muay Thai stadiums are quite different, you need to choose the venue that fits your preferences and expectations the best.

Both Thai boxing stadiums are located in Chaweng, not too far from Chaweng Beach. Actually, they are only 400 meters apart, so getting there is equally convenient.

Seating at both boxing stadiums in Koh Samui comes with standard seat and ringside seat options, while Samui International Muay Thai Stadium is also offering VIP seats with additional perks that should provide bigger comfort.

On the other hand, Phetchbuncha Boxing Stadium is the only air-conditioned boxing stadium on the island and might be preferred by people who can't stand the heat.

Detailed information about all Thai boxing event venues on the island can be found here: Muay Thai stadiums in Koh Samui.

Koh Samui Muay Thai Fight Night Schedule

As there are only 2 boxing stadiums in Koh Samui, there is normally one Muay Thai event on any day of the week, except Thursday, when both stadiums are closed.

The fight night schedule of Muay Thai stadiums in Koh Samui:

Phetchbuncha Boxing Stadium: Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday

Samui International Muay Thai Stadium: Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday

In both venues, the fight nights are scheduled to start at 21:00 and last up to 3 hours, but don't expect them to stick to the schedule too strictly, as it's not uncommon for the first fight to be delayed.

The level of fighters and the quality of fights at Koh Samui boxing stadiums tend to be similar and might depend on the specific fight night. Normally, there are 6 fights every night, and at least some of them are really good.
