If you are planning a trip to Samui Island and are interested in experiencing the national sport in Thailand, discover the best boxing stadiums to watch Muay Thai fights in Koh Samui, where you will enjoy a true professional match and understand more about this part of Thai culture during your trip to Thailand.

To experience the fight night of Muay Thai in Koh Samui, you can mainly choose from 2 boxing stadiums:
Samui International Muay Thai Stadium
Location of Koh Samui Muay Thai Stadiums
Both Koh Samui Muay Thai stadiums are located in the Chaweng area, not far from Chaweng Beach. The stadiums are only 400 meters apart, so getting to any of them is equally convenient.
If you choose to stay at one of the popular beachfront resorts, such as OZO Chaweng Samui, Banana Fan Sea Resort, or Centara Reserve Samui, you will be an easy walk away from both stadiums.
Facilities at Koh Samui Muay Thai stadiums
Facilities at Koh Samui Muay Thai stadiums vary quite a lot.
Phetchbuncha Boxing Stadium is the largest and the only air-conditioned Muay Thai stadium in Koh Samui. The stadium is well-equipped and offers more comfort due to the fact that the pitches are spaced far enough apart to avoid having the impression of being crowded. The air conditioner is cool, and all the stadium has strong fans over the crowd.
Samui International Muay Thai Stadium is a slightly smaller venue that might feel a little too crammed in terms of sitting space, but it brings everybody closer to the ring to enjoy the experience. As there's no air-conditioning, the stadium can get really hot, even if there are lots of fans to cool you down.
Seating at Koh Samui Muay Thai Stadiums
Both stadiums in Koh Samui have standard seat and ringside seat options, while one of them is also offering VIP seats with additional perks that should provide bigger comfort.
Standard seats are hard and not very comfortable at both venues. At Phetchbuncha Boxing Stadium, they are bleacher bench seats with no back support, while at the other venue you sit on concrete steps. As the fight night takes about 2-3 hours, it's better to bring a seat cushion.
You can normally have a good view from every standard seat on the grandstand at Samui International Muay Thai Stadium. However, at Phetchbuncha, it is the best to take a seat in front of the stage and not diagonally. Arrive 20 minutes or so earlier to get a better seat.
At both stadiums, the ringside seats are much comfier than the standard ones and are closer to the ring. Another bonus is that you don't need to arrive earlier to get a good seat because all of them offer similar views. Just make sure to book your ringside seats in advance, as they often sell out.
At Samui International Muay Thai Stadium, you can also choose a VIP seat, which is a comfortable sofa. These seats usually come with some gifts, such as a free drink or Muay Thai t-shirt.
